Family Check-In text messages
Terms and privacy policy · Gabriel Corens LICSW · Effective October 16, 2026
The program
Family Check-In is the caregiver page of a parenting program run by Gabriel Corens LICSW. Caregivers who agree can receive text messages with:
- one-time sign-in codes for their own Family Check-In page;
- reminders that a weekly check-in or a homework check-in is ready, with a link to their own page.
Messages never contain health information. Each message starts with "Family Check-In:". A code or reminder message contains the code or a link, and the opt-out line, nothing else.
How to sign up
Texting is off until the caregiver agrees, on their own phone or computer: on their Family Check-In page, they enter a mobile number and tick the box below, which starts unticked. This can be done at home or during a session, but the caregiver always ticks the box themselves. A confirmation text is sent right away.
Agreeing is not required to take part in the program. Each agreement is recorded with its date and the version of the wording.
The sign-up form
I agree to receive text messages from Family Check-In (Gabriel Corens LICSW) at the number above: sign-in codes and check-in reminders. Message frequency varies (at most one scheduled reminder a day, plus codes and links when I ask for them). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. Agreeing is not required to take part. Terms and privacy: myfamilycheckin.com/sms
How often
Message frequency varies by caregiver: at most one scheduled reminder per day (weekly check-in reminders on the two days before a session, and homework reminders on homework days), plus sign-in codes and links when the caregiver asks for them. Typically 2 to 7 messages a week.
Message and data rates may apply, depending on the caregiver's mobile plan.
Example messages
Each link is personal to one caregiver. It should not be forwarded.
Stopping, help and starting again
- STOP: reply STOP (or CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE) to any message. Texting ends at once, and one final message confirms it.
- HELP: reply HELP for contact details, or email gabriel@corenslicsw.com.
- START: reply START to turn texting back on.
Texting can also be turned off on the caregiver's Family Check-In page, or by asking the clinician. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
